The Association is proud to announce that Operation Impact Veterans from Hudson Valley, New York and Veterans from Houston, Texas represented the Association by carrying the 9th and 10th Cavalry flags in the 101st Annual Flag ceremony at St. Thomas Church on Sunday,  November 13, 2022, Veterans Day weekend in Manhattan, New York. For 101 years, the Choral Evensong with Act of Remembrance has been held at St. Thomas Church to recognize all the patriotic and historical societies of New York, and hold an act of remembrance for all  those who have died in times of conflict.  After the dedication ceremony in 2021, for the first time the Buffalo Soldiers Association of West Point was invited to participate.

There are more than 60 organizations that have participated in this event for the past 100 years. In this light, the Association is committed to participating in this annual tradition on Veterans Weekend in New York City. In both 2021 and 2022, the flags were borrowed from the Buffalo Soldiers Museum in Houston, Texas, and after the ceremony they were returned and the flags are displayed in the museum for others to see.
